About Us
Care for a Lift Services Ltd. is based on the importance of filling a need for Care Companionship with Accessible Transportation and more, here on the Sunshine Coast. We are committed to meeting these needs, and as a result, a high percentage of our business is from word of mouth from repeat customers.
We have worked with older adults for over 30 years with experience as Recreational & Horticulture Therapists within the Fraser and Vancouver Health Authority. We believe in advocating for our seniors and collaborating with care partners or friends of those needing support. We know finding solutions for issues around the aging process, can be a very difficult time when it comes to taking care of a loved one. At times, it can create more stress either as a spouse or older child. We are committed in helping you make this process smoother and less stressful with our consultation services which can help to take the guessing what to do into a well thought out action plan.

Maryanne Brabander,
Owner & Operator
Maryanne Brabander moved to the Sunshine Coast 9 years ago from Tsawwassen, BC. She has worked with older adults for over 30 years working in the Geriatric Therapeutic Recreation and Horticulture fields and as a community volunteer. She is passionate about the wellness of our community seniors, having access to programs and services needed to enrich their lives, maximize their abilities and maintain their social connections.
Her passion has extended to starting her own business called Care For A Lift Services; providing care, companion and accessible vehicle services here on the Sunshine Coast. She has a genuine caring nature, along with a passion for seeing a quality of life for older adults in our community. Through professional and personal experience working with older adults and their families, Maryanne has brought innumerable benefits to those who have had the opportunity to work with her.

At Care for a Lift we strive to support our local community. All tips received are donated to the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary, specifically to the Hospital Loan cupboard, as we have often needed equipment for our clients during our trips together.
